Style & Trend
Off the shoulder wedding dresses are next season’s top trend…
All the latest bridal catwalk shows had one thing in common: lots of breathtaking off the shoulder wedding dresses in every style and silhouette you can imagine.
We absolutely love this versatile trend, which is popular for so many reasons. Firstly, they look great on everyone. Showing off attractive shoulders is always a winner, and draped sleeves are amazing if you want to flatter the tricky upper arm area. Secondly, this neckline is the perfect way to show a little skin, while still keeping plenty of coverage. Finally, it's a neckline that suits any style of gown, from classic to bohemian.
To show you what we mean our Bridal Experts have picked four very different styles below, all with striking off-the-shoulder straps. So, whether you want slinky, classic or princess, we have off the shoulder wedding dresses with your name on…
Beautiful Theoni pairs simple, flattering crepe with intricate Chantilly and embroidered lace. The on-trend bodice features sophisticated semi-sheer lace and a delicate scalloped neckline.
The straps also sit perfectly on the shoulders, flattering the arms and décolletage.
At the back, there are neat buttons that lead the eye down the skirt to the dramatic cut-out lace hem, edged in soft eyelash lace.
For a contemporary classic feel, why not keep the accessories to a minimum, so the focus is on the sleek lines and stunning lace? Simply add our stylish tulle veil and a pretty hair comb to finish the look.
Like a fairy tale
Violette is all about glamour and is perfect for brides dreaming of a classic fairy tale wedding. We think the intricate embroidered lace and the romantic tulle skirt look just heavenly together!
The bodice is covered in embroidered lace appliqués that continue onto the tulle skirt. Each appliqué also has stunning sparkle, thanks to tiny white beads and ornate pearls. The off-the-shoulder, Bardot-style straps then show off the shoulders prettily. At the back, there’s traditional lacing, which gives a great fit and support.
The standout feature of this dress is the stunning tulle skirt, which is the epitome of princess elegance. The lightweight material has been designed to drape beautifully, while still holding its ballgown shape. For even more show-stopping volume you can also double up with our underskirts. Finally, complete the look with our glittering Solstice belt and our regal Royale tiara.
Pierette’s off-the-shoulder straps offer a beautiful twist on the classic sweetheart neckline. The stylish cuff detail adds another modern element and both the bodice and the straps are covered with chic floral lace.
Lace also decorates the luxurious skirt, which features layer upon layer of soft tulle for amazing volume and fullness.
A classic lace-up back lends structure and support, without compromising the stylish neckline, and the overall effect is one of complete elegance. Try it with our Nova belt too, for a touch of sparkle at your waistline.
Lastly, we have Bruna, a romantic sheath from our Signature Collection that ticks all the trend boxes. This figure-hugging style combines a fitted silhouette that is entirely covered in ornate embroidered lace appliqués.
There’s also a pretty Chantilly lace underlayer and the bodice is lined with organza to give the semi-exposed boning that’s another key look this year.
The lacy off-the-shoulder straps sit perfectly with the dipped V-neckline at the front and fall softly across the tops of the arms. The V-neck back also frames attractive shoulders but is still high enough to conceal a bra strap.
Then cast your eyes down and you'll discover the scalloped-edge, illusion train, for a final touch of wow factor.
Available in classic ivory or delicate blush, try this design with our glittering Estella Belt and our tulle Margot veil for a look that marries the latest catwalk styles with a classic feel that just won't date.
