Love, marriage, scandal… get your fix with our Bridgerton inspired bridal gowns

At the heart of the show, amidst all the drama and scandal, is the Bridgerton family and their attempts to navigate the city’s marriage market to find romance, adventure and love. The new series also sees the introduction of two exciting new characters, Kate and Edwina Sharma, as well as following on from the final episode's big reveal about the sharp-tongued gossip Lady Whistledown.

Bridgerton inspired bridal gowns

At WED2B we have dresses to suit every occasion, and plenty that wouldn’t look out of place in Bridgerton’s glittering ballrooms and aristocratic palaces. So, our Bridal Experts have had a bit of fun finding Bridgerton inspired bridal gowns for some of our favourite characters, from headstrong newbie, Kate, to newly confident Daphne and free-spirited Eloise. Read on for some glorious gowns and a dash of Regency romance…

Kate Sharma

Feisty Kate is the new girl in town. And, as you can see from this Series 2 trailer, she’s smart, independent and not one to suffer fools gladly, Anthony Bridgerton in particular. We think our contemporary Gina dress is the perfect match for her thoroughly modern take on life. It's also daring enough to suit her confident nature.

It features a striking bodice with a stylish straight neckline and plunging V-neck (complete with discreet illusion panels, of course). The lustrous Mikado fabric takes centre stage and flares out from the delicate waistband into a magnificent circle-cut skirt and shimmering train. A sparkling belt will ensure all eyes are on our leading lady, while the hidden pockets are perfect for secreting the latest missive from Lady Whistledown.

Edwina Sharma

Edwina is Kate’s younger sister. Kind natured, endearing and a little naive, she knows what she wants, and that’s a true love match. Her sister has taught her how to be the perfect debutante, and she would look absolutely ravishing in our romantic Maud dress.

This floaty slim-A-line has a soft prettiness, like Edwina, and the flowing tulle skirt is perfect for swirling around a ballroom. It’s covered in elegant matt floral lace, which cascades across the illusion bodice, while the exposed boning and off-the-shoulder straps add a discreet touch of sexiness. Finished with a crystal tiara, it’s a look that will ensure Edwina is the belle of any ball she attends. 

Daphne Bridgerton

Daphne Bridgerton (now Bassett) will no doubt have blossomed and grown in confidence since the first series, now she’s a happily married mother and the matriarch of her own family. And we think our structured Rosana ball gown perfectly reflects this new found poise and composure.

Our Anna Sorrano gowns are all about understated style and elegance, which Daphne has in spades. Rosana is the perfect mix of contemporary and classic. It combines a structured Mikado skirt with intricately embroidered lace detail on the bodice. The sweetheart neckline, edged in lace petals, is demure but desirable. Then there's the glorious Mikado train, which is ideal for making a dramatic entrance when required!

Eloise Bridgerton

Free spirited and rebellious Eloise, Daphne’s younger sister, spent most of Series 1 trying to unmask the mysterious Lady Whistledown. So, hopefully, there’s much more to discover about this whip-smart young lady in Series 2. Our boho Alma dress is the ideal choice for this clever and unconventional Bridgerton sister.

This slim tulle A-line has a semi-sheer bodice, edged with delicate dotted tape lacing, and a beautiful lightweight tulle skirt. Relaxed and unrestricted it's ideal for a character who’s always fighting against the constraints society tries to impose on her.

Penelope Featherington

Finally, we have Penelope Featherington, Eloise’s close friend. Intelligent, romantic and kind, this seemingly shy girl was revealed as a secret mastermind by the end of Series 1. We can’t wait to find out more! For her we’ve chosen our classic and quietly confident Allyson dress.

Penelope’s not afraid of a little embellishment. So, we think this modern princess gown with embroidered floral appliqués and embellished sequin motifs is the one for her. The plunging sweetheart neckline and light champagne illusion straps are super flattering, while the pretty sequins mean this dress sparkles from every angle. In this eye-catching design we predict she’s going to stand out from the crowd this series. Rather than forever watching, and taking notes, from the sidelines!
