A romantic proposal in Rome

Hannah and Lee met at work and also had their first date in the work canteen. “Lee later proposed on 12th August 2019,” says Hannah. “We were in Rome and he took me to Piaza Navona Square, where he got down on one knee in front of the fountain.”

Hannah bought her dress from WED2B’s Bolton store. "I tried on so many but kept coming back to the one I chose,” she says. (For similar styles try Bentley, Beckingsale or Magnus)

"Our wedding was cancelled twice, due to the pandemic, so we decided to elope to New York and get married in Central Park instead!” says Hannah.

The big day

“Luckily it wasn’t a typical winter’s day in New York,” says Hannah. “The sun was shining and there were glorious clear skies. We had a beautiful ceremony with just four guests at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park."

"We then had a photo tour around New York before our wedding reception, which was at The Tavern on The Green, a historic venue in the middle of the park.”

My top tips…

“Elope and save yourself the stress!” says Hannah. “Less is sometimes more, especially when it comes to guests and wedding politics. The whole day was just about us two. No frills.”
