Beautiful reds, pinks and blues set the tone for this stylish barn wedding. Our WED2B Real Weddings feature reveals more...

Jack and Emily first met on a night out. "We had mutual friends, so we kept meeting when we were out separately having drinks,” says Emily. After they got together Jack proposed at home. “I'd just arrived back and I found him down on one knee in our lounge. He’d also arranged flowers in the shape of a heart on the floor in front of him. We’re a very chilled couple, so this was perfect.”

Shopping for the dress

“My Mum, my mother-in-law and two bridesmaids took me to WED2B’s Camberley store,” says Emily. “All the staff were unbelievably helpful. I tried on about 10 dresses and ended up going back to the very first one, Emmy. The staff didn’t mind at all! They were just there to help me find my dream dress, which I did.”

The perfect barn wedding

The couple married at Norton Park Hotel, near Winchester. “As soon as we arrived there I just fell in love with it,” says Emily. “I loved that we could have a barn wedding and also have a separate party room for the reception. It had everything I was looking for in one venue.”

The big day

“We had our very talented friend, Chris, play the guitar as I walked down the aisle with my Dad,” says Emily. “Jack’s face when I saw him was a picture I will never forget! We had a short ceremony and then danced the night away with our friends and family. It was perfect.”

A few personal touches…

"Our colour theme was deep red, dusky pink and navy,” says Emily. “Our bridesmaids' dresses were also from WED2B and they were stunning. My girls looked incredible! Another of my favourite things was the cake topper I had made. It was so amazing. It had a mini-me pulling a mini Jack away from watching football on TV, which is very fitting for our relationship!”

My top tips…

“Just enjoy the whole planning experience,” says Emily. “You spend so long planning and paying for all of these amazing things and then the day goes so quickly. Make sure you take it all in and enjoy it.”
