Up, up and away!

Claire and Tom met on Tinder and went out on a date the very next day to the local pub, they've been inseparable ever since.

When it came to the proposal, Tom managed to completely surprise Claire, even picking the ring himself (which, thankfully Claire loved!).

With a passion for flying, Tom took Claire flying at Popham Airfield and proposed over the radio. "When we landed all our friends and family were there and we then celebrated with drinks and a BBQ!" said Claire.

The dream dress at our Camberley Bridal Shop

Claire chose the Viva Bride wedding dress 'Emmy' in blush. View the range of blush wedding dresses here or read more about how to look lush in a blush here.

"I loved it the moment I tried it on." said Claire.  This lucky bride-to-be found the one at the first try on, despite the Emmy lacking hanger appeal, as Claire says "I always thought I would wear white."

When you know it's the dream dress, the moment can get emotional as Claire says: "when I tried it on I cried with happiness as did my mum and bridesmaids and I knew it was the one!

My experience with the store was brilliant, the ladies were very helpful and just as excited as we were when I was trying on the dresses."

A traditional church wedding

The couple got married at their local Church in Old Basing, "We love the tradition and vows for a church and the venue was a beautiful setting." said Claire.

After an emotional walk down the aisle with her dad and classic hymns sung with the choir, Clair and Tom had a reading from Corinthians which spoke about love and they different ways to love.

Surprise singers at the reception

The couple had their reception at Macdonald Frimley Hall hotel and Spa. After arrival drinks and photos they enjoyed a delicious, three course meal.  The couple had a surprise in store for their guests when two of the "waiters" started singing!

Claire says; "Everyone was surprised and they were soon all up on the chairs singing and dancing. They got everyone into the party spirit!"

After the meal a live band played and kept the party mood going until midnight.  Even Tom got to drum with the band which was a very proud moment for the newlyweds.

With a neutral, pastel colour theme, the couple made sure all of the flowers, bouquets and cake matched.  In the evening a photo booth and sweet cart kept their guests entertained.

Claire's top tips...

  1. Make it your day, do what you want and pick what you want; which we did and I’m really glad we did everything we wanted.

2. Take a moment just the two of you to have a drink and a chat, and let it sink in that you are actually married!

3. Wear comfy shoes that you will last all day in.
