Real Weddings: Izzy and Joseph’s beautiful garden wedding

Isabella and Joseph first met in Sussex at a bonfire party. “Our first date was at the beach, our favourite place,” says Izzy.

Asking the important question…

“Joseph proposed on the most lovely day,” says Izzy. “He took me on an early morning walk with a coffee and we stopped by a river, where he proposed. He also had a photographer hiding in the background! It was magical and beautiful.”

Dream dress shopping

Izzy found the perfect dress at WED2B. “I chose Hendrix, a gorgeous crepe sheath,” she says. “The fit was so perfect I didn’t even have to get it altered. I just had the straps changed to a lace detail, to match the theme of the garden wedding better.” (For similar styles, also try Bruna, Kayden or Jamilla)

A stunning garden wedding

“Our wedding was in a big beautiful garden, a bit like my proposal,” says Izzy. “We had a marquee and lots of flowers. The wedding cake was cute and lemon flavoured and also complemented our peachy garden vibes.”

Family, friends and love

“The whole thing was exactly what we wanted, an intimate day full of our favourite friends and family,” says Izzy. “It was absolutely magical.”

My top tips…

“Just enjoy every moment,” says Izzy. “It goes by so fast. Also, don’t worry about the details on the day, simply try to let go and enjoy it all. Finally, be present and keep saying, 'This is our wedding day’ to your groom. It's good to be reminded!”
