What do you picture when you think of lace bridal gowns? Is it something classic? Or even a little bit fussy? Well, we’ve found three completely different lace bridal gowns below to show you how a little lace detailing can look both cool and contemporary or sophisticated and classic. Signature Collection Kennedy is full of sultry style, for example, while Casey, by Viva Bride, is all about modern romance. Then, finally, there’s Letitia, the perfect fairy tale princess gown. So, if you thought lace bridal gowns weren’t for you, think again!
Strike a pose
Let’s start with oh-so stunning Kennedy. If you want to make an entrance this could be the dress for you! A slinky sheath style that’s bang on trend, the lace here is used on the sexy bodice and to accentuate the fullness of the glamorous skirt.

Seductive details
The bodice features beaded spaghetti straps and a catwalk-inspired plunging neckline, offset by discreet illusion panels.

Distinctive style
Look closely and you’ll see that the embroidered lace is paired with a beautiful underlayer of contemporary Chantilly lace. The lace has then been embellished with gorgeous, sparkling crystals and pearls.

The big reveal
Turn around and you’ll reveal the low, illusion-lace back. This modern design shows perfectly how classic lace can also look totally contemporary.

Show-stopping lace
The lace train really gives this gown its wow factor. The lining of the dress finishes at floor level, so you’re left with swathes of opaque lace, which will look magnificent as you walk down the aisle. There’s no need to wear an underskirt with this dress either. We love it styled with our striking Solstice belt and one or two sparkling Calli hair vines. And, if slinky, modern lace bridal gowns are the look for you, we think you’ll like Houston, Archer and Bali too.

The golden touch
Casey is a classic sweetheart style in light gold. One of our Viva Bride collection, it's a universally flattering A-line style that ends in a breathtaking lace hem.

Sweet as anything
The bodice is covered in pretty embroidered lace, which adds texture and interest. The gently dipped neckline is also perfect for brides who love a sweetheart style but would prefer a little more coverage.

Shimmer and shine
Take a closer look and you’ll see that the embroidered lace has been embellished with hundreds of machine-embroidered sequins, which give the dress a subtle, understated shimmer.

Dazzling design
The back has a classic lace-up design, which is perfect for ensuring the perfect fit. This dress is also super versatile. It can be styled in so many different ways but we love it with a princess-style hairdo, finished off with our regal Aurelia tiara.

Time to accessorise
Why not add a little more glamour for the evening too? Casey looks gorgeous worn with our soft feather Celine bolero and also our show-stopping Millenia belt, covered with silver gemstones.

Lovely in lace
This is where lace bridal gowns really can look breathtaking. The lace hem here is absolutely stunning and it frames the edges of the soft, full skirt just perfectly. Wear this with our 163 underskirt for even more ravishing volume.

Colour me beautiful
If you love this style but light gold doesn’t work with your theme then Casey also comes in a brighter ivory shade. Alternatively, if you prefer lace bridal gowns in shades of champagne or blush, take a look at Rowan, Courtney and Camellia, which come in a range of flattering colours.

And finally…
Where should we start with lovely Letitia, a Platinum Edition dress from our Bellami collection? The pretty lace cap sleeves? The luxurious organza skirt? Or the super sweet bodice? So many choices!

Delicate coverage
Lace is the perfect way to add coverage and detail across the shoulders. Here the illusion lace straps form pretty, shoulder-flattering cap sleeves.

Floral notes
The floral embroidered lace on the bodice has also been decorated with clear and silver beads to give it a glamorous finish. You can style this divine dress in so many ways but we love it paired with our magical Aurelia tiara and also our Tiffany belt, for a little extra sparkle.

A supporting role
At the back the wide straps provide extra coverage and support along with the luxurious lacing, which helps to create the perfect fit.

Turn up the volume
Letitia's fabulous waterfall skirt is made from super shiny organza for a totally luxe look. The layers also feature a horsehair trim for added bounce. Did you know that doubling up on underskirts is a great way to add even more volume and avoid length alterations? Our 153 and 163 underskirts are the perfect complement to this style. And, if you like this look, but would prefer a little more coverage, check out Laura, with its sweet illusion neckline. Alternatively, if you’d prefer strapless, then Estelle might be The One for you!
