Three glorious new wedding ball gowns...
You really can make all your dreams come true with a one of our stunning wedding ball gowns. Also known as a ‘princess gown’ this classic fairy tale silhouette is the one most brides picture when they close their eyes and imagine their dream dress.
Wedding ball gowns normally have a fitted bodice, which flares out at the waist into a full skirt with plenty of volume. And, did you know, it’s also an ideal shape for most body types? While it can sometimes overwhelm smaller frames it looks fabulous on almost every other figure. It’s particularly great for pear-shapes, as it hides the lower body and draws attention to the waist. To make your look even more princess-worthy, why not add a bouncy underskirt for even more va va voom volume?
We have three gorgeous new wedding ball gowns to show you today, from our Anna Sorrano collection. Elegantly refined and truly unforgettable, it showcases UK wedding dresses that are a beautifully contemporary take on classic bridal trends.
Old Hollywood glamour
Our brand new Carmella design is a modern classic with more than a touch of that iconic Grace Kelly style. It features a V-neck bodice, beautiful lace straps and also stylish appliqués that fall prettily down the ball gown skirt.
The super soft tulle bodice is covered with delicate floral corded lace appliqués. The pretty straps look elegantly stylish while offering plenty of support and gentle coverage.
The on-trend illusion back is sophisticated and modest, while the pretty covered buttons give the all-important fastenings an attractive finish.
The stunning ball gown skirt finishes in a beautiful full lace hem. It’s perfectly complemented by our lace-edged Maisie veil for a totally classic look. Then perhaps add a touch of sparkle from our Estella belt and finish off with our suitably regal Regency tiara. Et voila!
Less is more
Delancey is a clean-cut ball gown design made from elegant Mikado fabric. Simple and stylish, it’s the perfect blank canvas for a range of tasteful Amixi accessories.
The understated bodice is oh-so chic and timeless. It frames the torso perfectly while the graceful pleated waistband highlights a nipped in waist.
Take a bow
At the back there’s a breathtaking bow, made from more of that crisp Mikado fabric. It’s also detachable, giving you the option to create two looks in one!
Turn up the volume
That dramatic ball gown skirt is just sensational. The luxurious Mikado fabric has been bagged out at the hem with a 2-inch horsehair trim, which holds out the shape of the skirt and train beautifully. For even more volume, double up on your underskirts and wear it with our 153 and 163 styles too.
The clean lines of this stunning dress lend themselves to so many different types of accessory. Here we’ve added our Kensington jacket to create a softer daytime look. Our sparkly Estella belt and Royale tiara finish the outfit perfectly. If you love the look of the Mikado fabric, you might also like our fishtail Dolce. Alternatively, our satin Destin ball gown has a similar pared-back design.
And finally, we have another clean-cut and timeless Anna Sorrano style. Tara combines an elegant ball gown skirt with a flattering pleated bodice that really draws attention to the waist and highlights your natural curves.
The classic pleated bodice is great for all figures. The off-the-shoulder straps are also perfectly placed to flatter the upper arms and show off the décolletage.
A little shimmer
Look closely and you'll see that the super soft satin also has a gentle sheen, which is a classically understated and luxurious Anna Sorrano detail.
At the back there’s chic lacing to ensure the bodice fits like a glove and hugs curves like a dream.
Dress it up!
You can really have fun accessorising this pared-down design. Keep it simple or go to town, whatever you prefer! We think it looks amazing with our glittery Estella belt and a traditional Regency tiara. Our romantic Loulou veil, with it’s delicate satin edging, is also the perfect match to this understated look. Finally, if you like the flattering pleating here, make sure you check out Felicia too.
