Will you have a wedding wardrobe?
How to plan your outfits from sunrise to sundown and beyond…

It’s been a huge TikTok trend, but what exactly is a wedding wardrobe? Well, chances are you’ll already have some of it covered. Your wedding wardrobe includes everything you’ll be wearing from the start of the celebrations to the end, whether that’s just one day, a weekend or a whole week.
So, for a traditional one-day wedding, it might include robes and pyjamas for you and your maids while you’re getting ready. Then, most importantly, your dream dress and maybe a change for the evening, followed by something lovely for a post-wedding brunch the next day. If you’re making a weekend of it, or having a small ceremony followed by a bigger party, it might include all that plus two or even three wedding dresses, with accessories to match.
3 wedding wardrobe top tips…

1. Decide on your budget
A wedding wardrobe isn’t just for celebs and, with a little careful planning, it’s very easy to create different looks without spending a fortune. Start by deciding on your budget for all your outfits, then allocate the highest amount to the part of the day you want to have the most wow factor. For some brides this will be when they make their grand entrance at the ceremony. For others, having a smaller registry office service, it might be a wow-factor look for the afterparty instead.
2. Work out how many outfits you want/need
If your budget will stretch to two or more wedding dresses, then a totally different evening dress is a great way to get the party started. However, it’s really easy to go from daytime romance to evening glamour with one great dress and a few well chosen accessories, too. There are also some stunning adaptable wedding dresses that are designed to create two completely different looks in one.

3. Choose versatile items you can wear again
The outfits you wear to your rehearsal dinner or the post-wedding brunch can be things you’ll wear for years to come. Also, save money by choosing one pair of wedding shoes that work with all your big day looks. Plus, the right hair accessory can also be repurposed from a veil topper to a glittering side clip once you’ve let your hair down.

To show you how it’s done, we’ve asked our bridal experts to suggest a few gorgeous outfit ideas to inspire you. So, here are their top picks for a beautifully curated, affordable wedding wardrobe…
The hen do

Your maids might have some ideas about what you should wear for this. But get in early with some cool bride and bridesmaids T-shirts, plus a few cute accessories!
The rehearsal dinner/post-wedding brunch
Save pennies here by rewearing something you already own or splashing out on one new thing that you can wear to both events. Unless you're Paris Hilton, so no one will expect a new outfit every time they see you! Just wear something you feel great in.
The wedding morning

The pre-wedding fun with your besties is practically an event in itself. So, get the day off to a good start with music, nibbles, champagne and matching outfits to get the party vibes going. What’s more, it’s a great investment for your photos, as it'll give you and your bridal party a lovely put together, styled feel.

Pick something that complements your wedding theme, for example fun floral robes to suit a vintage celebration or simple pink and white for a more classic event. Make sure you get yourself a different ‘Bride’ robe too, so you stand out in the pictures. And don’t forget a few accessories, like a sparkling ‘Mrs’ hair clip and some cute matching scrunchies.

The Big Day: Two wedding dresses
At wed2b you can actually get two stunning dresses for less than £900. So, if you’ve always dreamt of having a different day and evening look, then go for it! Traditionally, the ceremony dress is a little more classic and the evening dress is something fun or glamorous. But there are no rules when it comes to choosing your perfect dresses.

Real bride Kristiana treated herself to two gorgeous dresses for her special day. “I wanted the first look to be a classic princess gown and the second a mermaid dress,” she says. “The materials on both dresses made them look and feel expensive and classy. Adelaide's long train, finished with buttons down the back, and the off-the-shoulder neckline were perfect for the church. While Pascale’s mix of lace with the low-cut back and dainty belt across the waist was the perfect classy yet sexy gown for the second half of the wedding.”

The Big Day: One dress, two looks
However, there’s no need to buy two dresses if you don’t fancy changing or your budget doesn’t stretch quite that far. Our bridal experts have plenty of tips and accessory tricks to create two completely different looks in one.
Try… a clever overskirt

Our Dalton overskirt in luxurious Mikado is the perfect way to change your style. We guarantee lots of your guests won’t even notice that you’re still wearing the same dress! It features a stylish waistband and elegant buttons to the hem, and looks amazing over this Chantilly lace mermaid by Anna Sorrano.

For a more contemporary feel, it also works beautifully with Sofia Cruz’s crisp, off-the-shoulder sheath, giving the design a more traditional, classic feel for the day followed by a slinky, evening glamour.
Try… changing your accessories

Not everyone wants to faff about changing into another dress on the best day of their lives. So, that’s where a quick change of accessories can come in handy instead. For the ceremony, a lace jacket, off-the-shoulder straps or a dramatic cape can add coverage and elegance. Pair them with a stylish updo, then when it’s time to hit the dance floor, take them off to reveal a strapless evening look and literally let your hair down. Just add a glittering Art Deco clip or sparkling belt for a dash of extra glamour.
Try… an adaptable dress

We have one more trick up our sleeves; this amazing design from Aaliyah Quinn. You really can have it all with Jordyn, as it’s almost your entire wedding wardrobe in one outfit. An ultra-embellished, mini dress, covered in intricate florals, it comes with stunning detachable balloon sleeves and a sparkling A-line overskirt, decorated with more intricate lace. So, you can mix ’n’ match to your heart’s content before revealing a sexy mini designed for dancing the night away!
