A dreamy wedding day in Anna Sorrano
In the heart of Cardiff, where Rhian and Gavin's love story began 14 years ago, a tale of love, commitment, and family unfolded.
A picturesque wedding at Llechwen Hall, a local wedding venue that perfectly encapsulated the charm and romance Rhian and Gavin envisioned.
The proposal
Rhian and Gavin first met through mutual friends 14 years ago on a night our in Cardiff.
Gavin's proposal was a magical moment with their two children in tow.
"The proposal was during the light festival in bute Park Cardiff." Says Rhian
The muddy walk illuminated by light-up swords created a whimsical backdrop for a proposal that blended family, love, and a touch of adventure. Rhian fondly recalls, "It was a magical evening, made even more special with our children by our side."
Shopping for the dress
Rhian discovered wed2B Cardiff in Wales, and it was a game-changer for Rhian. After a less-than-ideal experience at a previous wedding shop, Samira at wed2b put her at ease. "Samira allowed me time to look at the dresses and suggested a few based on my ideas. It was a brilliant experience," Rhian shared.
Discovering Anna Sorrano
Rhian chose the Liesl dress, captivated by its perfect fit and intricate neck detail, "The glittery element made it feel so special as as soon as we added a belt and headband I knew it was the one" Rhian exclaimed. The dress not only complemented her style but also added a touch of glamour to the entire ensemble.
Finding the perfect venue
Rhian and Gavin married at their gorgeous local hotel Llechwen Hall, with a marquee for the wedding breakfast and dancing, was the perfect venue for the couple. The venue's charm, coupled with its proximity, made it an easy and ideal choice for their dream day.
The big day
"I got ready at my mums house with my mum, maid of honour and my daughter who was flowers girl." says Rhian. "The weather was beautiful it had rained heavily in the days previously but it was glorious on the day."
"My dad walked me down the aisle to meet my husband to be and My son who was page boy. We chosen piano music for walking down the aisle 100 years by Christina Perri"
Personalising the celebration
After the ceremony, the couple chose a crisp wall and celebratory drinks. "The crisp wall was so popular." says Rhian.
Rhian and Gavin chose a white, gold, and pink theme for their wedding, with navy suits for the groomsmen. Personal touches included "We had tall gold centre pieces with flowers on top." says Rhian, a flower moon arch, and a DIY approach to invitations, menus, favors, and more. Rhian emphasized, "We wanted a classic theme with a touch of our personalities." "Our wedding cake was white with pearls and made by a work colleague."
The most memorable moments...
"Seeing my son having a dance off with the best man and doing his robot moves."
And for other Anna brides..
"Stay relaxed, people don't notice many of the details you can easily get stressed over. They are there to celebrate with you" Says Rhian.
