Fall in love with dreamy tulle wedding dresses…
Tulle is the perfect fabric for weddings. It’s super versatile and combines fairytale prettiness and volume with a lightness that makes it very easy to wear. It’s also ideal for breathable, soft underskirts, detailed illusion panels, sheer necklines, pretty veils and so much more. So, it’s no surprise that in our most recent survey, tulle wedding dresses were the second most popular after lace.
Tulle can also be subtle and understated in something with a boho feel or big, bold and voluminous in a stunning ball gown skirt. Below we’ve picked three designs that show off our fabulous tulle beautifully; two understated A-lines and a wow-factor waterfall. The only problem is going to be which one to choose!
Timeless and unforgettable
Kaiya is a delightful long-sleeve, A-line with an exquisite illusion back and a super soft skirt. The tulle here makes the perfect contrast to the detailed bodice and sleeves.
The bodice features stunning lace work with breathtaking illusion details. Floral lace appears to ‘grow’ across it and down the light-Champagne coloured sleeves, offering delicate coverage and style.
The detailing continues at the back, framing the shoulders before flowing prettily onto the skirt. There’s also a lovely row of covered buttons leading the eye down to your waistline, where you can add a glittering belt to make the look even more eye-catching.
Finally we get to the breathtaking skirt. The soft tulle adds just the right amount of volume here, for brides who want an effortlessly refined look. For a little more movement, you can try this with our shaping A-line Wunderskirt too.
Romantic and feminine, Klarissa offers timeless glamour with a scattering of sparkle. The simple tulle skirt here is paired with a glittering V-neck bodice, which creates gentle movement alongside the wow-factor detailing.
The bodice has a striking plunging neckline with discreet illusion panels, so there’s plenty of coverage. It’s also fully decorated with sequin embroidered florals and leaves. These flow over the shoulders on to the wide illusion cap sleeves and down the back, framing the shoulder blades. There’s a classic lace-up fastening too, so this design will fit like a dream.
Our designers love tulle wedding dresses because it’s a great way to add understated volume and movement to a highly detailed bodice. Clarissa’s beautiful tulle skirt flows out into a simple train that perfectly offsets the glamour of the bodice. Make the most of the tulle by wearing it with one or two of our underskirts too, for maximum glamour.
Finally, we have Micah, a totally different way of using tulle. Here the ruffled tulle is the star, and the breathtaking layered, waterfall skirt is guaranteed to make an impact. It’s the perfect choice for brides who dare to be different!
With a skirt this dramatic, an understated bodice is key. This simple but well-cut style has a low V-neck with illusion panel and soft gathered pleats. The slim straps also sit beautifully on the edges of the shoulders, for a very modern feel.
At the back, the pared-back look continues with a matching V-neck and a neat row of covered buttons.
Then we come to that fabulous skirt. With layer upon layer of frothy tulle, this is the ultimate ball gown. It also has a horsehair hem to create movement as you walk, so it will look very dramatic as you make your way down the aisle. Simply add a glittering belt to highlight your waist and then get ready to make an entrance!
