Megan and Dan's stylish golf course wedding
Beautiful blush pinks were the order of the day for this delightful outdoor ceremony
The simple elegance and glamour of our off-the-shoulder crepe sheath was perfect for this sunny golf course wedding...
Megan and Dan met when Dan was converting a friends’ garage. "From that moment we were inseparable,” says Megan. "We had our first date in the secret garden at Arbuckles, with blankets and fairy lights.”
Dan proposed in May 2022, while the couple were on a weekend break at Center Parcs. “We had been for an evening walk and, when we got back, he had used Love Heart sweets to write ‘Marry me’.”
Discovering The Signature Collection
Megan found her dream Signature Collection dress at wed2b’s Norwich store. "Erin helped me chose my dress and she gave me her honest opinion,” she says. "This was my second dress purchase, as my first (bought from a different company) wasn’t right. So I had to get this one right!”
Luckily for Megan she found our stunning Rio design, made from elegantly draped crepe that ends in a dramatic sweeping train. “I wanted something timeless but beautiful,” says Megan. "I knew this was the dress for me when I put it on. It also fitted me like a glove and it required no alternations at all. I felt like the bride I’ve always dreamt of being."
Plus a few sparkling extras
“I bought the Leonie belt too, as I wanted something classy with a bit of sparkle. Also, my bridesmaids wore blush pink Laila dresses with matching belts."
A golf course wedding venue
The couple married at Glen Lodge, a golf course wedding venue near Norwich. “It had everything we were looking for,” says Megan."It had beautiful features and character, amazing views and incredible food and service. The deal breaker was that they also had 20th May 2023 available, which was a year to the day from when we got engaged.”
The big day
“I got ready in the venue’s beautiful accommodation, overlooking the golf course and water foundation,” says Megan. "My mum, bridesmaids, both daughters and brother helped me get ready. My dad walked me down the aisle after we did a dad/daughter reveal on the balcony. I walked in to ‘Still into You’ by Julia Sheer.”
Let’s celebrate!
After the ceremony there were drinks, followed by a three-course wedding breakfast. “Our first dance was to ‘Fall into Me’ by Forrest Blak. We loved the lyrics and both related to it as a couple."
“The colour theme was soft pink and the venue was decorated with blush pink blossom trees on the tables, as my dad loves blossom trees,” says Megan. “There were also floating candles in tall vases and crisp white tablecloths. Our cake was made by a local lady, and was a naked, three-tier cake decorated with soft frosting and flowers. We made our ‘Welcome’ sign ourselves, along with our cake hoop and card box.”
The best bits
“One of the most memorable moments was going out in the golf buggy for our photos and watching the sunset during the golden hour,” says Megan.
And for other Signature brides…
"Enjoy it!” says Megan. "Don’t let the nerves take over, just allow that wedding bubble to form and make it last for as long as possible. Appreciate the small moments of the day and take as much of it in as you can. It goes so quickly.”
