Sunset romance

Anne and Leroy first met at a cocktail night in 2019, then Leroy proposed in the magnificent setting of Santorini on their first holiday together. We love a romantic proposal and he got down on one knee at sunset, which definitely ticks all the boxes!

Anne found her stunning Viva Bride design at wed2b’s Eindhoven store. “I went with my mum, sister and best friend and the experience was top notch,” she told us. “Mieke instore was incredibly nice and professional. My wishes were listened to and we laughed a lot!”

Discovering Viva Bride

How incredible does Anne look in our Maddox design? The beautiful botanical lace, shimmering tulle and satin skirt and classic sweetheart neckline are a dream for modern day princess. Anne agrees, "I had a fitted dress in mind but my mum wanted to see me in an A-line,” she says. “So, I put it on and instantly fell in love. I really felt like a princess and it was immediately clear that this was ‘The One’!”

Maddox is a glamorous style for a wedding abroad and the strapless neckline and detailing look dreamy in the hot sun. Plus, if you love this design’s fun mix of florals and glitter, we think you’ll adore Lana, Raye and Brie too!

A little extra glitz

Your big day is the perfect time to indulge yourself with sparkle, so Anne added a gorgeous Solstice belt to highlight her waistline. “I also treated my maids to lovely pyjamas and scrunchies too,” she says.

The big day

The couple kept it intimate and travelled to Santorini with a small group of family and close friends. The ceremony was held at the Saint Nicholas Chapel. “It was perfect because it's a striking little blue chapel on the island where we got engaged,” says Anne.

Luckily, the weather was fantastic and Anne’s dad gave her away before the couple exited the chapel, as husband and wife, to Elton John’s moving ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’. “The best moment of the whole day was this loving little intimate ceremony on a beautiful island,” says Anne.

The reception venue had a sentimental connection too, as it was the restaurant where Leroy proposed. “We enjoyed champagne and cake,” says Anne. “Followed by authentic Greek snacks, drinks and then music."

Into the blue

Santorini is known for its shades of blue, so a beautiful blue theme was the ideal choice. As a striking contrast, the bridesmaids wore red with the bouquet and the wedding cake both featuring red and white.

“Just make sure you enjoy yourself,” says Anne. “It's over in a jiffy and you look forward to it for so long.”
