Brady and Jordan’s Northumberland wedding
A classic Georgian manor house venue near Berwick-upon-Tweed
These newlyweds chose a burgundy and blush theme for their stylish Northumberland wedding day...

Brady and Jordan first met in a bar in 2018. “We’ve not left each other's side since!” says Brady. “The proposal was amazing. It was in our favourite place, Robin Hoods Bay in North Yorkshire, on the 28th January 2023. I had no clue about it and was completely shocked!”

Shopping for the dress
Brady found her dream dress at wed2b’s Gateshead store. “I visited with an image of the dress I thought I wanted,” she says. “I was greeted by the most friendly staff, who couldn’t do enough to help. They also helped me pick out a few of the dress style that I loved. However, when I tried them on, I didn’t look how I had pictured. Then, a member of staff suggested trying on a different style. At first I was unsure, however when I put it on it was definitely the dress of my dreams!”

An unexpected choice
The dress was Palermo, an off-the-shoulder A-line in sleek Mikado by Anna Sorrano. “My dress was everything I wanted,” says Brady. “The train was absolutely incredible. When I first tried it on I didn’t want to take it off! It was timeless, classy and everything I could have imagined. I also bought my underskirt and veil from the store. My veil, edged with lace, was just the perfect match. Just amazing."

A Northumberland wedding venue
The couple chose Marshall Meadows Manor House, a luxury hotel near Berwick-Upon-Tweed, for their wedding on the 7th March. “The whole place is incredible,” says Brady. “The staff went above and beyond. Plus, the grounds are stunning and the bridal suite is designed to perfection.”

The big day
“On the day, I got ready with my seven bridesmaids and my mam,” says Brady. “The morning was so chilled, filled with laughter and tears. The weather wasn’t great while we were getting ready, but the second I was ready to walk down the aisle the sun came out. It was perfect. My dad walked me down the aisle to a song called ‘It Feels Like Home To Me'. The atmosphere was electric throughout the whole day.”

Let’s celebrate
“After the ceremony, we went straight for photos,” says Brady. “Meanwhile, the guests enjoyed reception drinks, canapés and entertainment from our magician and live singer who were both incredible.”

All things blush and beautiful
“Our colour scheme was burgundy and blush and I did everything myself, with help from my mam and sister,” says Brady. “My sister was also my florist, as she owns a business called Little Wild Stems. If anyone is in need of flowers, she is the best! My wedding cake was four tiers with fresh flowers. As part of the evening’s entertainment we also had Coco Bongo Bingo, which was the highlight of everyone’s day!"

The best bits…
“One of the most memorable moments of the whole day was the Coco Bongo Bingo,” says Brady. “I would recommend this to everyone!”

My top tips…
“Don’t stress about the small things,” says Brady. “On the day, the only important thing is that you marry the love of your life with everyone you love around you.”
