Four fabulous short wedding dresses

Below our Bridal Experts have picked four stunning short wedding dresses that tick all the boxes when it comes to style, elegance and fun. Not to mention they’re perfect for showing off a gorgeous pair of bridal heels!

Romantic lace

Fabulous Dollie combines a beautiful vintage feel with a number of this season’s big trends, such as an off-the-shoulder neckline and pretty lace sleeves.

Both the neckline and the three-quarter-length sleeves feature pretty scalloped lace. The supportive sweetheart bodice also sits high at the back to hide a bra strap. Plus, even better, this gown is one of our first to be made from 50% recycled fibres and yarns!

This bouncy tea-length skirt is a dream for dancing. It features beautiful lace appliqués leading to a hem edged in detailed embroidered sequin lace. Wear this with our shorter underskirt for even more volume, then treat yourself to the perfect pair of vintage-style dancing shoes.

Totally charming

Ida is a beautifully classic tea-length dress with a sweetheart neckline, delicate three-quarter-length sleeves and a delightful flouncy skirt. It also has added bounce courtesy of a structured petticoat, a woven ivory lining and layer upon layer of soft, floaty tulle. 

The illusion sleeves give delicate coverage and are finished with tiny floral appliqués and light-catching iridescent sequins. This give the dress plenty of movement and a dash of understated sparkle.

It also looks great with a touch of shimmer at the waistline, a glittering Evie hairpiece and, for even more volume, our short underskirt. Alternatively, if you’d prefer something with full-length sleeves, take a look at Maria instead.

Contemporary chic

A shorter dress doesn’t have to feel retro, as you can see from stylish Niamh. This modern design features a pleated tulle bodice with flattering, draped straps and a tulle skirt with a fashionable raw edge.

It also has on-trend exposed boning, which is layered underneath pretty embroidered floral appliqués to soften the look. 

At the back, there’s a neat dipped V neckline and smart covered buttons, to balance out the full skirt. This shorter style looks great with a glittering Aurelia tiara and our elbow-length Willa veil. It’s also the perfect choice for a micro wedding or if you're treating yourself to a second dress for the evening.

Lastly, we have Edna, a romantic strapless style that mixes traditional sophistication with the fun of a shorter length. Made from luxurious soft satin, it features large floral appliqués that give the design a touch of vintage glamour.

The classic sweetheart neckline, combined with a sweeping full-circle skirt, also creates a beautifully flattering silhouette.

This understated style works wonderfully with a huge range of accessories, so you can create a look to perfectly suit your unique style.
