Hazel and Ross's laid-back farm wedding

Hazel and Ross met seven years ago. “Ross was Christmas shopping in the shop I worked in,” says Hazel. “Later, for our first date, we went out for ice cream.”

Will you marry me?

Ross surprised Hazel by proposing in the couple’s flat when she thought they were going out for dinner. “He got my two-year-old niece to come to the door to greet me, holding the ring box!” she says.

A dress to impress

Hazel found her dream dress in WED2B’s Glasgow store. “It was my first day dress shopping and I found my dress,” she says. “It was also only the third wedding dress I’ve ever tried on and I just knew it was the one! I wore WED2B’s Bali dress and my favourite thing about it was the sheer back, as the detail really stood out."

An informal farm wedding

The couple married in Harelaw Farm, a barn venue just outside of Glasgow. “We wanted a nice laid-back vibe and also a big party at night, so it was perfect,” says Hazel.

The big day

“I walked down the aisle to 'A Million Dreams’ from The Greatest Showman and then we walked out to our favourite 90s' dance tune,” says Hazel. “We just wanted the whole day to be fun and relaxed!"

Rural romance

“We did a lot of the decor ourselves,” says Hazel. “The theme was rustic and gold with lots of greenery. There were also plenty of fairy lights to make it feel cosy.”

“Enjoy your day, don’t sweat the small stuff and also make sure you dance the night away!” says Hazel.
