Summer is (finally!) here and alfresco wedding season has arrived. Whether you’ve booked a venue with a large garden or you’re planning to stay closer to home and use your own, you’ve made a great choice. There’s nothing better than celebrating outside, with garden games, chilled Pimms and an ice cream or two. And using your own, or a family member’s garden, can be a great low cost reception option. Deck the space out with bunting, some comfy seating and a mobile bar and then you’re away!
To help you out our expert WED2B stylists have also put together six top tips for staying cool, calm and chic in your garden paradise…
1. Keep it stylish and strapless
A strapless dress will help you keep your cool on a warm day. Our Maddie dress, part of the Viva Bride collection, is beautifully sophisticated and the sparkling, beaded bodice will twinkle in the sunlight.2. Thinly veiled
This is the perfect time of year for a dramatic floaty veil. If you're having an outside ceremony it will waft behind you prettily in the summer breeze - and keep the sun off your back!
3. Loop the loop
Did you know, every WED2B dress has a hanging loop perfect for holding up your train? So if you’re chatting to guests on a grassy lawn, simply loop it up to keep your beautiful skirt pristine and perfect.
4. Petal power
The summer flowers will be in full bloom so a delicate floral headband will fit in perfectly with the garden party theme.
5. Well heeled
Don’t forget to invest in some heel protectors, which will stop your fab new shoes sinking into the grass. An alfresco wedding essential!
6. Cover up chic
Finally, an elegant lace jacket will make sure you stay warm after the sun goes down and create two different looks for day and night.
