This happy couple had a fabulous wedding day without blowing their wedding budget. Our WED2B Real Weddings feature reveals more:

Tobias and Siobhan first met when they were both studying at the University of Loughborough. “Toby and I were in the same halls of residence,” says Siobhan. “The day Toby proposed we’d spent the day with friends at Woburn Safari Park. We then went to a bar in London with views over the city, close to where we first lived together. Toby asked me to go outside to look at the view and then he got down on one knee. The rest is a blur!”

A dream dress to fit the wedding budget

Siobhan headed to WED2B in Milton Keynes to find her wedding dress. “It was the most perfect experience,” she says. “I spotted the Enya dress as soon as I walked in. Then I accidentally ended up picking it up twice! The staff there were wonderful and so helpful. They made the experience easy and enjoyable.”

A historic venue

The couple chose The White Heart in Ampthill, an 18th Century coaching inn, for their big day. “Our wedding venue was small and intimate,” says Siobhan. “It's also in the town we are moving to. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted and fitted with our wedding budget.”

The big day

The wedding day was the 22nd February 2019. There was a church service at 3pm and Siobhan’s Dad walked her down the aisle. Then there were hymns and two readings before everyone headed back to the White Hart for the reception.

Irish dancing

The couple had a naked wedding cake styled with beautiful fresh flowers. “Due to Irish heritage we chose to have an Irish band for the wedding, which really made the day memorable!” says Siobhan.

My top tips…

“My top tip for other brides is to pick a good photographer,” says Siobhan. “Send them ideas of photos from Pinterest too, so they know what you want. Finally, the main thing is just to stay calm!”
