A strapless bodice works well with many different silhouettes, from A-line to ball gown, so you’re guaranteed to find one to suit your figure. Just remember to invest in good supportive underwear so the bodice stays exactly where you want it to, all day long! Read our blog post for help on how to choose the right underpinnings.
We’ve had fun this week going through our beautiful designs to find three stunning strapless wedding dresses that we think should accompany you down the aisle. Enjoy!
Classic style
Larissa is a classic fit and flare silhouette decorated with floral Alençon lace appliqués that fall prettily down the soft tulle skirt.
A fabulous fit
The lace-up back gives the perfect figure-hugging fit and also creates a beautiful feature. Wear this style with our 190 underskirt, which is specially designed to make fit and flare skirts ‘pop’ just a little more.
True romance
The sweetheart neckline is oh so romantic and helps to highlight attractive shoulders and collar bones. Show them off to the full by sweeping hair up into a low bun and wearing with one of our pretty Evie clips, covered with pearls and crystals.
Lashings of lace and tulle
The stunning skirt features soft tulle godets, which subtly add volume and fullness. This graceful style works well with a cathedral-length veil, and our lace-edged Maisie is the perfect match. And, if you love a strapless dress with lashings of lace, we think you’ll also love Lara and Gloria too.
Understated style
This strapless ivory fishtail is a dream for highlighting natural curves. Covered with delicate scalloped-edged lace, it doesn’t get more classically romantic than this. Accessorise with a simple pendant necklace and drop earrings for sublimely understated glamour.
Create some curves
Mix ’n’ match
Why not create two looks in one by adding a high-necked lace jacket? It’s a great way to add more coverage for the daytime. Then simply remove it after the wedding breakfast to reveal a brand new evening look!
Natural style
Finally, Georgina, with its simple, clean-cut lines, is a great example of a modern strapless style. It’s elegantly understated and will let your natural beauty shine through.
Wear with flare
The contemporary sweetheart bodice features flattering ruching and the attractive A-line skirt flares prettily from the waist, making it look perfectly petite. Wear with our 153 underskirt for even more volume. Perfect proportions
A-line styles are universally flattering, as the balanced proportions work brilliantly to draw the eyes upwards and highlight a beautiful nipped in waist. It’s a great look for all body shapes and the satin lace-up at the back helps to create that fabulous fit.
A light touch
As you walk down the aisle the soft tulle skirt will flow elegantly behind you, as light as air. It’s guaranteed to take your groom’s breath away, so keep your accessories simple with just an elegant satin-edged veil and a touch of minimal jewellery here and there. Voila!
