Vintage styling and sunny weather made this couple’s day absolutely perfect. Our WED2B Real Weddings London feature reveals more:
Rhea and Brad went to the same school but didn't actually meet until after they left. “We must have walked past each other so many times,” says Rhea. “ A mutual friend finally introduced us and ended up being our best man!”
Following a romantic proposal while on holiday in Iceland, Rhea headed to a WED2B London store to find her dream dress. “I visited the London store and chose the Liberty dress from The Signature Collection,” she says. “If the lovely lady at the branch hadn't picked the dress out for me I would never have found it! I didn’t need any accessories because the dress was stunning enough.”
Love at first sight
The wedding venue was Moor Hall in Aveley, Essex. “We found it randomly while searching online and couldn't believe it was just down the road from us,” says Rhea. “It was the first place I viewed and I fell in love instantly and refused to look anywhere else. I’m so glad I stuck with that feeling because it was perfect.”
Nervous newlyweds
“I have never been more nervous in my life than I was before the ceremony, and I know Brad felt the same,” says Rhea. “My Uncle John walked me down the aisle and my Mum and our friend Jamie, one of the 11 groomsmen, gave a reading. My favourite memory is of seeing Brad after all those nerves and feeling calm as soon as I took his hand!”
Party time!
Afterwards the sun came out and guests were able to enjoy welcome drinks in the beautiful grounds before heading into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. The colour scheme was vintage and nude shades and the couple mixed brown table numbers and place names with pink flower centrepieces. Male guests had favour boxes styled in the colour of Bradley’s suit while ladies had white to match Rhea’s dress. The cake featured a silhouette cake topper of the happy couple and their two-year-old son, Harrison.
“It’s hard to pick one favourite moment because the whole day was perfect!” says Rhea. “But our first dance was special because it was just me and Brad after the hustle and bustle of the day. We danced to ‘Tenerife Sea’ by Ed Sheeran before dancing the night away - literally!”
