Tiffany and Nick first met years ago. “Then, five years ago, Nick came round to mine with a milkshake and never left!” says Tiffany. “I love the seaside and the 2p machines in the arcade. So, he proposed by putting the ring into a 2p machine and getting me to win it out. Then he got down on one knee!”

Shopping for the dress

Tiffany visited WED2B’s Norwich store. “I knew exactly what I wanted and the girl who helped me was amazing,” says Tiffany. “It was in the middle of the pandemic, so it was a little strange, but still perfect.”

"The store assistant was so patient and lovely. She encouraged me to try on another couple of options but, in the end, I went back to Cambridge, my favourite.”

(For similar styles, why not try: Palermo, Elliana or Elowen).

A stylish village hall wedding

“We got married in our local church, which is where our children were christened, so it’s a bit special for us,” says Tiffany. “Then we went on to have a village hall wedding. There was an option to have the hall draped out and it looked amazing. Everyone was so shocked when they arrived!”

“We also wanted a venue close to where we lived, to make it easy for guests to get home, so the hall was absolutely perfect for us. It ticked all our boxes. We got married on 18th September 2021.”

The big day

“We all got ready at my mum and dad’s house,” says Tiffany. “It was chilled out for the first few hours but time just vanished and, before we knew it, we had to get in our wedding car. We had a few songs played at church, while we were signing our register, and then we walked out to the traditional Bridal March.”

“Afterwards guest were treated to champagne, a bath full of beer, a shot section and a snack table,” says Tiffany. “It went down a treat! We then had our brilliant speeches before enjoying a three-course-dinner. Then it was time to party the night away with our nearest and dearest.”

Plenty of greenery and lots of cake

“Our theme was greenery, which was so pretty and natural,” says Tiffany. “The theme just came together with the sage green bridesmaids’ dresses and dickie bows and pocket squares for the men. We had light-up letters, a neon sign and fairy lights. There was also a drinks wall and a ‘Pimp my Prosecco’ stand.”

Bride and Groom's wedding cakes

“The hall is very big and I didn’t want it to feel empty, so we had quite a lot,” says Tiffany. “We had a cake table with three cakes. There was a rustic chocolate cake with our names on it, a lemon cake with ‘Mr and Mrs’ on it and then a three-tier iced cake with white and sage green icing, sugar paste, greenery and gold leaf.”

“Our favours were scratch cards in a cardboard sleeve with a penny attached to the front,” says Tiffany. “There was also a personalised stamp saying, ‘For richer for poorer, Mr and Mrs Matthews’. During the day there was a singer with a guitar and a magician, who were both amazing and kept every one occupied. Later, our DJ was great and came as a package with a photo booth.”

The best bits…

“Oh gosh, memorable moments…” says Tiffany. “My two boys were amazing all day, every one was so happy. And just seeing Nick at the end of the aisle was something I will never forget. I loved every minute of it.”

My top tips…

“Enjoy every minute,” says Tiffany. “Try and take five minutes for just you and your hubby, so you can connect and reflect on your day. And do exactly what makes you happy. If you want to take your shoes off and party, do it! If you want to have a bottle of beer instead of sipping champagne, do it! Just be you.”
