A wedding dress is often the most important item of clothing someone ever wears, but it shouldn’t be at a cost to the earth. It’s our commitment to find sustainable alternatives to traditional bridal fabrications throughout all our collections.

So far, 13 styles have been specifically designed and made to use GRS certified recycled materials, which we can trace back to the raw material stage.

Our E-comm packaging is 100% recyclable, sustainable and FSC certified. This certification also covers all our newly produced paper labelling. WED2B is continuously looking at packaging throughout our supply chain, swapping out virgin plastic dress bags for recycled plastic dress bags.

16,810 items of plastic were removed from our supply chain* by switching spare bead bags, plastic hangers and garment polybags to sustainable alternatives. This is equivalent to over 1,000 plastic bottles in weight.

WED2B requires all suppliers to sign our Supplier Code of Conduct, which covers human rights, labour rights, fair wages and health and safety. This also includes a ‘whistle blowing’ channel. This is an internal support email monitoring compliance to our Code of Conduct, with the aim to resolve any violations.

WED2B are striving for a ‘Beyond Audit’ approach with our suppliers, which means as well as yearly audits, we work closely to ensure fair working conditions and a happy and healthy working environment for our workers.

Our goal is to have at least 50% of new styles, made from a minimum of 50% responsibly sourced recycled, GRS certified materials by 2024.

We will continue to monitor and decrease the use of plastic in our supply chain and throughout our store network. By 2024 we want to have swapped 50% of all plastic we use to recycled or a bio alternative.

We are at the very beginning of our sustainability journey, and although we’ve got a way to go, we are focussed on minimising our impact on the planet.
