Fenchi and Dharmesh met at the University of Birmingham through mutual friends. "On our first date Dharmesh cooked my favourite starter, main and desert,” says Fenchi.

Dharmesh proposed on a day trip to London. “I was having a stressful time at work, so I thought it was a visit to relax,” says Fenchi. “He proposed in Kensington Palace on the 18th June 2018, next to one of the flower arches. He also got a professional photographer to capture the moment. I felt so cherished and loved. He took the time to make sure it was perfect.”

Fenchi found her dream dress amongst WED2B’s wedding dresses Hinckley. “I went to the store 30 minutes before closing time,” says Fenchi. “I was coming back from a civil wedding, so my makeup and hair were already done. The store was empty and I was the only client."

"The ladies there were brilliant, and they knew the perfect dress for me as soon as they saw me. I fell in love with Winslet and I loved everything about the dress, particularly the train and the off-the-shoulder sleeves. I also got the Solstice belt to finish the look.” (For similar styles try Magnus, Kelsey or Karla)

The couple married at the Lakeside Suite in Lutterworth. “I loved the greenery and the gazebo with a lake and fountain behind it,” says Fenchi. “The reception room also had a striking glass wall, through which you could see the grounds. We got married on the 10th August 2021. The venue made the most beautiful backdrop for my happily ever after."

The big day

“We had a cloudy morning but luckily the sun shined on us before the ceremony,” says Fenchi. “The ceremony was held outside in the gazebo. I had three bridesmaids, my two sister-in-laws and my cousin."

"I walked down the aisle with my uncle while our violinist, Lizzie Barker, played ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri. We then went indoors to cut our cake and have our first dance, which was choreographed, followed by lunch.”

Pretty in pink

“I went for pink and white flowers,” says Fenchi. “The gazebo was covered with flowers. The aisle had transparent stands with flower vases. Indoors there was a head table with a large circular display filled with flowers, and a beautiful white and gold themed guest table.”

“Our cake was made by my aunt, who is a professional baker. It had three tiers with circular hoops between each tier. The middle tier had our initials, while the top and bottom tiers had sugar flowers.”

“Our first dance was to ‘Perfect’ by Ed Shereen, which was played beautifully by our violinist,” says Fenchi. “The most memorable moment for me was seeing everyone there for us, while we were still in the middle of a pandemic.”
